A STRATEGIC SOUNDING BOARD

Our Stakeholder Platform

The Principles for Peace Stakeholder Platform constitutes an important platform for convening dialogue and collaborative action on pressing global, regional, and thematic issues. The Platform is composed of a broad network of 120 key stakeholders from local, regional, and international organisations and networks; multilateral and intergovernmental entities; private sector entities; and academia, research institutes, and think tanks.

Today, the Stakeholder Platform continues to serve as a strategic sounding board for our initiatives and as a mechanism for collective analysis, planning, and collaborative action through the common Principles for Peace framework.

We encourage collective action for advocacy around the Principles at the global, regional, and national levels, as well as nurture partnership to implement and measure peacemaking practices.

CORNERSTONE FOR THE PRINCIPLES FOR PEACE

The global participatory process

page-2-section-2---process-methodology-(our-work)

The Principles for Peace Foundation and The Peacemaking Covenant, with its cornerstone eight Principles for Peace, were all founded and developed through a two-year global participatory process. The purpose of this process was to generate robust evidence and analytical insights into peacemaking policy and practice.

We encourage collective action for advocacy around the Principles at the global, regional, and national levels, as well as nurture partnership to implement and measure peacemaking practices.

Link policy p4p

To link policy and practice and enhance accountability in specific conflict contexts, our national-level Participatory Periodic Review for Peace approach relies on long-term monitoring and rigorous, participatory multi-stakeholder engagement to identify national peace priorities and translate them into concrete action.

This global partnership alliance underpins and guides all our efforts towards systemic change, convening stakeholder dialogue, and catalyzing joint collaboration and new partnerships.

As the largest collective effort in the contemporary peacemaking space, the Principles for Peace Foundation is committed to working closely with local communities, international bodies, policymakers, intergovernmental organisations, donors, academia, practitioners, and grassroots activists.
