Keith Krause (Chair)

Keith Krause is Professor at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland; and Director of its Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding (CCDP). An international expert on conflict prevention, peacebuilding, and armed violence, Keith has more than 30 years of experience in designing and conducting research projects for academic and policy-oriented purposes. He was also the founder and Programme Director of the Small Arms Survey, an internationally-recognized centre of excellence for knowledge-related products concerning small arms proliferation and misuse, violence prevention, and human security. His research interests include the changing character of contemporary armed violence, peace-building and statebuilding, and multilateral security cooperation. He has published more than 80 articles, chapters, and reports. Keith is Swiss-Canadian, and received his MPhil and DPhil from Balliol College, Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
