Geneva Peacebuilding Platform Session Highlighting Young Changemakers
The Geneva Peacebuilding Platform session held on 21 November showcased the projects of three exceptional Kofi Annan Foundation Changemakers, who are engaged in innovative peacebuilding activities across the globe.

On 21 November, the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform convened a dynamic session to spotlight the innovative projects of three remarkable Kofi Annan Foundation Changemakers. These young leaders are advancing impactful peacebuilding initiatives across the globe.
The featured Young Changemakers included:
- Laura Pistarini Teixeira Nunes (Italy/Brazil, based in Romania): Advocating for social justice and peace education with PATRIR, focusing on supporting Ukrainian civil society.
- Victor Okechukwu Chimezie (Nigeria): Founder of the Mind Reformers Network, empowering youth as peacebuilders through education and interactive workshops.
- Sameer Ali Khan (Pakistan): Founder of Collective Pakistan, working to address online hate speech and promote peaceful coexistence.
This session explored the critical intersection between local and global peacebuilding efforts, emphasizing the importance of intergenerational dialogue. Insights were shared by members of the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform, including Principles for Peace, Interpeace, and the CCDP – Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding.
Additionally, Shruti Satish, President of the Geneva Graduate Institute’s Peacebuilding Initiative, contributed a young professional’s perspective on fostering sustainable peace. The session concluded with a lively Q&A, creating a collaborative space for meaningful dialogue among participants.
