USF Coalition Statement

GENEVA, TEL AVIV, RAMALLAH | JUNE 11, 2026

Israeli-Palestinian leadership coalition welcomes the launch of the International Peace Fund, in line with its call at the UN Security Council

On behalf of the Uniting for a Share Future (USF) Coalition, bringing together 550+ pragmatic Israeli and Palestinian leaders, the Principles for Peace (P4P) Foundation welcomes today’s launch of the International Peace Fund by the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada. The fund is a £3 million initiative to support those building dialogue, trust and a shared future between Israelis and Palestinians. Since USF’s creation we have called for greater support to Israeli and Palestinian peacebuilding efforts: we thank these governments for heeding our calls and for their tireless commitment to ensuring a horizon for both peoples.

In February 2026, at the invitation of the UK presidency of the Security Council, P4P’s Founding Executive Director Hiba Qasas briefed the Council alongside former Israeli diplomat Nadav Tamir on behalf of the USF coalition and called for concrete international investment in the constituencies in both societies that sustain a political horizon. From the Council floor, they welcomed the United Kingdom’s intention to launch a Peace Fund to support civil society in Israel and Palestine. Today, that fund becomes a reality.

“I am proud to join Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper in announcing this fund on behalf of Principles for Peace and the Uniting for a Shared Future coalition,” said Hiba Qasas. “We thank the United Kingdom for heeding our call to support communities in Israel and Palestine. We deeply appreciate the Foreign Secretary’s commitment to sustaining a political horizon for both peoples, joined by her Australian and Canadian counterparts. At a moment when the forces of despair are loud, this fund invests in those who refuse to give up on a shared future.”

The fund, announced by Foreign Secretary Cooper alongside her Australian and Canadian counterparts Penny Wong and Anita Anand, will invest in catalytic projects and initiatives, drawing on the United Kingdom’s experience in Northern Ireland and its current work in the Western Balkans. It marks a concrete step in support of the constituency that Principles for Peace supports and convenes through USF, the main binational infrastructure at scale bringing together more than 550 Israeli and Palestinian senior leaders across security, politics, business, media and civil society.

Principles for Peace is proud to count on the support of other committed partners to its work in convening the USF coalition, notably the governments of Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Ireland and Belgium. We look forward to working more closely with the UK and its partners as the fund becomes operational and broadens its donor base. We thank the UK, Australia and Canada for their continued engagement in our work and commitment to building a horizon for both peoples. We call on additional donor governments to join this Fund.
