PRESS RELEASE

Launch of the USF Strategic Dialogue Committee on Political Horizon

Davos, 22 January 2026Building on the 20-point Gaza Peace Plan, the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803, and the Global Alliance New York Declaration adopted by the United Nations General Assembly and endorsed by 142 countries, representatives of the Uniting for a Shared Future (USF) coalition came together in Switzerland, facilitated by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. A high-level strategic committee to support a structured dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians was launched on the margins of WEF2026 in Davos. USF is co-convened by the Swiss-based Principles for Peace Foundation.

Uniting for a Shared Future is a first-of-its-kind strategic infrastructure for high level Israeli-Palestinian political dialogue. USF has grown into a coalition of more than 550 Israeli, Palestinian, and international decision-makers and opinion-shapers from politics, security, business, diplomacy, negotiations, media, and civil society.

USF works through discreet engagement and cross-sector coordination and has aimed to preserve the political, economic, and psychological viability of a political solution based on separation through self-determination, including a demilitarized Palestinian state alongside a secure and prosperous Israel, embedded in a wider regional political, security and normalization framework.

At the same moment the Board of Peace was launched at Davos, USF inaugurated its new high-level strategic committee as a practical contribution to operationalising Point 20 of President Trump’s peace plan and the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803, focused on reestablishing a dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians to agree on a political horizon for prosperous co-existence within a broader regional political, security, and normalisation framework.

The Committee will offer key partners grounded political, institutional, and societal support; strategic input, sequencing, and risk management; economic and private-sector backing; and targeted dialogue formats and implementation support.

“It is highly symbolic that we launched this committee of senior Israeli and Palestinian figures right when the Board of Peace was being announced across the street in Davos. It is time for the international community to move beyond ceasefire and stabilisation toward a credible political horizon, structured political dialogue, and a wider regional framework that can secure long term stability, security, and prosperity for Israelis and Palestinians, and for the region. As Phase II begins, this initiative aims to help open a new chapter,” said Hiba Qasas, Founding Executive Director of the Principles for Peace Foundation and Co-Convenor of the Uniting for a Shared Future coalition.

“We have a sacred duty to turn the last two painful years into a moment of opportunity. After years where there was little dialogue between Israeli and Palestinian authorities, it is our role to put forward a pragmatic plan on how to renew negotiations and move towards a more stable and peaceful reality for our two peoples,” added Gilad Kariv, Member of the Knesset, present for the launch in Davos.
