National Reconciliation Framework: A Strategic Workshop
We were honoured to contribute to the strategic workshop led by the Somali Ministry of Interior, Reconciliation and Federal Affairs (MoIFAR) to start designing the implementation plan for the National Reconciliation Framework (NRF).

We were honoured to contribute to the strategic workshop led by the Somali Ministry of Interior, Reconciliation and Federal Affairs (MoIFAR) to start designing the implementation plan for the National Reconciliation Framework (NRF). The workshop included participants from institutional representatives of the Federal Government, the Office of the Prime Minister, other Member States, and stakeholders engaged in this context.
We designed a Peace Game simulation to test the preliminary strategy developed during the workshop, leveraging an AI system to support the discussion and ensure its alignment with the vision and objectives of the NRF. The exercise aimed to consolidate the strategy discussion, further socialize the NRF’s vision, and build common ground towards a concrete implementation plan.
We extend our gratitude to all the workshop participants, and our partners UNDP and the Berghof Foundation, for making this possible. Special thanks to CRISP – Crisis Simulation for Peace e. V., our invaluable partner in designing and implementing the peacegame.
We also thank H.E. Jabrin Ibrahim Abdulle, Ambassador of Somalia in Nairobi, for his continued support.
We look forward to continuing our collaboration with MoIFAR to advance the NRF implementation.
