National Reconciliation Framework Launch
We are honoured to have returned to Somalia for the launch of the National Reconciliation Framework (NRF) in Mogadishu! It was a privilege to commend Somalia for its pioneering role in adopting the Principles for Peace, integrating the vision of a legitimate, inclusive, and sustainable peace within the NRF.

The framework lays out a comprehensive vision for peace, emphasising reconciliation and inclusion and aligning with the vision of the Principles for Peace. Key to this process is ensuring legitimacy and good governance, crucial for accountable security and service provisions. Our global consultations at P4P have reinforced the importance of these elements for enduring peace. We commend the vision of the NRF, and we acknowledge that achieving this ambitious goal relies significantly on international solidarity and support for our Somali partners.
We’re proud to have been entrusted by the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation to lead with our measurement and methodological expertise. In collaboration with partners, we aim to co-design a robust measurement methodology, enabling participatory reviews and facilitating course corrections as needed.
At P4P, we will also learn from the Somali experience and facilitate further south-south exchange and dialogue with the multilateral system, together with our partners and members of our broad global coalition.
We stand ready to offer our commitment and the necessary tools to accompany all stakeholders on this crucial journey.
